We can help

The death of a family member is one of the most delicate times of our lives. And one of the most unpleasant tasks is going thru probate, to transfer an inherited property to you using the system provided. We hope to provide you with some relief from the stress that often accompanies inherited properties.

Are you driving back and forth to your property, or spending thousands fixing up the place so you can sell it? Or is the property in such bad shape that it can’t sell?  Then you should consider donating your property to UYM Charities!

Originally founded in 1980, UYM Charities (UYM) is a privately chartered, non-denominational religious organization, organized in New York State, under Article 9, religious law, and operating as a 501(c)(3) under the IRC Code of 1954. When you donate your property to UYM, you will not only reduce your tax liability by an amount equal to your property’s appraised value, you will benefit your local community.

By leveraging resources, UYM is able to provide critically needed services to vulnerable populations, including veterans, seniors and the disabled, at less cost to stakeholders and the health care system in general. We have many well deserving Veterans and Elderly who would greatly appreciate your help and generosity! Your donated property will serve as a source of financial support or housing for folks who really need a helping hand.

By donating, you do not have to worry about selling the property yourself! We take care of everything, so that you do not have to worry about dealing with low offers, repairs, liability issues, advertising expenses, or the time-consuming process of showing and selling your property.

It’s a Free, Simplified and Smooth Transfer Process. And YOUR DONATION IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE FOR A PERCENTAGE OF THE APPRAISED VALUE OF THE PROPERTY!

We Accept: Houses, Lots, Buildings, Condos, Mobile Homes, Commercial Property, Apartments. We even accept mortgaged property, properties in foreclosure (in certain circumstances) and partial donations of equity.

We make the intake process as simple as possible. Just tell us a little bit about the property, and we’ll take it from there. For Donors who pledge significant resources, we can even set up your own charter ministry as a private foundation, to fulfill your goals of charitable donations. Many of our Donors have set up family foundations that not only help charitable giving, but are an integral part of a complete estate tax reduction plan.

Your donation will assist many of our affordable housing programs, as well as our senior housing programs. The bottom line is your donation will be greatly appreciated and since we are one of the only non-profits who direct funds exclusively to some form of housing or housing assistance, you can trust that your donation is going to be extremely appreciated and is going to a good cause.

Once we have done our preliminary due diligence, discussed the charter ministry options, explained the tax benefits and possible tax deductions, we will do an appraisal on the property, to determine the full appraised value, with a licensed appraiser. This is the only cost you will incur, which is a tax write off; we just want you to receive the full value for your property. Once the appraisal is completed, it is now time to set up the transfer of the probate real estate to UYM Charities.

Welcome to the home stretch! The process is streamlined and simple and the tax benefits are tremendous. We strive to complete the transfer as quickly as possible. In many cases, if our donors agree, we can be done in as little as 30 days! Everything is done in house, or thru our trusted network, and is at no cost, all the way thru. Even the set up of the family ministry, or family foundations are quick and easy as well.
